I can not believe that summer wedding season has officially arrived at the beginning of June. Summer and Fall are a wedding photographers hustle season. It means that on Saturdays we do weddings and on weekdays we do engagements.
Many couples can’t imagine how fantastic the engagement session is when building our relationship. An engagement session allows my couples to get the nerves and jitters out of the way and become comfortable in front of the camera. It’s also a great time for me to get to know you better! My favorite benefit from an engagement session is that on your wedding day, I can be just a fly on the wall and capture those moments that you never want to forget. It’s a win-win all around.
One of the ways I like to get to know my clients is by hearing the story of how they met. Michelle and Robert’s meet-cute story is short and sweet. According to Michelle “We met through mutual friends and hit it off right away. ” The more I think about it, the more refreshing I think this type of story is. How great is it to meet a person you already have shared history and friendships with?
I met up with Michelle and Robert for their engagement session at Gallup Park in Ann Arbor. If you’ve never been, it’s one of Ann Arbor’s most popular recreation areas and I know exactly why. There are some absolutely stunning scenic walkways that make cuddling pretty easy. It’s too cute and the perfect place for an engagement session.
Michelle and Robert were such a sweet couple. And lovely too. (I think I need to own this cute pink dress with pockets). It’s hard to believe they’re less than a week away from their wedding day Saturday with a celebration to follow at the Double Tree in Bay City.
Congratulations, love birds! I look forward to capturing more of your sweet moments!
