Hunter + Claire | Grosse Ile Country Club Winter Wedding | Grosse Ile, Michigan

Claire and Hunter planned this wedding with the help of their parents from Tennessee. Claire grew up here, but their love story began in the south.  And the story is beautiful.  Hunter wrote it for me when I asked how they met, and it was beautiful. Then wedding day came.   After all of the planning, the trips back to Michigan, and the details, it was finally here.  And while we can’t guess what weather will be like in Michigan pretty much EVER, I was thrilled when snow was in the forecast.  There is something about a beautiful blanket of fresh snow on a wedding day. Hunter and Claire are just so sweet and perfect together.  We met at the Grosse Ile Country Club to get ready and then use their beautiful snowy grounds for a first look and portraits. After, we headed to St. James on the island to get married.  So many wonderful folks gathered to witness Hunter and Claire’s vows. It was lovely.  The couple greeted friends and family and celebrated back at the country club.  The evening was complete with a sparkler exit–which is one of my favorite ways to send off a couple.
