Eddie & Deanna | Intimate Belle Isle Wedding in Detroit, Michigan

May 8, 2018

Deanna and Eddie had been planning their day for months, and while they went back and forth on a few of the details, they knew that it needed to be intimate. There is something about an intimate wedding that strikes me as just relaxing.  If you met me, you know that I love a big party, but man, the level of chill and intimacy that comes along with photographing a wedding with 20 people in attendance is kinda awesome. Deanna and Eddie’s day started at the Cadillac Book Westin.  After a relaxing with hair and makeup, the two exchanged gifts and then met downstairs in a beautiful lobby space for their first look.  It sure didn’t disappoint. Eddie’s eyes lit up when he saw his bride.  The entire wedding…not wedding party…everyone in the wedding hopped on the bus so that we could hang out around the city for portraits.  There was no rush.  There was barely a timeline.  We had to arrive sometime between 5 and 7 pm to get married at the Belle Isle Conservatory.  It was pretty perfect, and we ended the night with the perfect celebration dinner in a private room at the Townhouse in Detroit. To Eddie and Deanna, thank you so much for letting me come along during your planning and capture these moments with your tribe.   What a perfect start to the spring wedding season.  Congratulations!
