A Summer Engagement Session at Maybury
Some photo sessions feel less like a shoot and more like spending time with friends–and of course, it’s even more special when the two in front of you camera ARE dear friends. It was a warm, quiet evening, the kind where the sun takes its time setting and everything feels a little slower in the best way.
Carly and Trey were completely at ease from the start, no pressure, no need to pose too much. Just the two of them, walking the trails, and stopping every now and then when the light hit just right. That easy rhythm made the whole session feel natural, almost like they’d done this a hundred times before.
Maybury was the perfect setting for them. With its soft greenery, open fields, and tucked-away paths, it gave them room to just be. It didn’t need much dressing up. The way they held hands, the way Carly leaned into Trey during quiet moments—those little things told their story far better than anything else could.
There’s something really special about sessions like this, simple, honest, and focused on connection. No big props, no elaborate setups, just two people in love, making the most of a warm summer evening. It was the kind of session that didn’t try too hard, and in doing so, captured exactly who they are together.
