Doug and Allise chose Frutig Farms in Ann Arbor for both their ceremony and reception. It was my first time at the venue, and I immediately fell in love with the landscape. The walk to the ceremony site was short, but it felt secluded, especially with spring in full bloom. It was the perfect spot for a wedding.
There are a few moments I keep coming back to when I look through their photos. Doug’s expression during the first look. The energy and fun of the wedding party (I’ve photographed two of the bridesmaids’ weddings, I adore this group). And the moment Allise’s dad kissed her on the top of her head during the ceremony. We were all in tears.
Guests enjoyed delicious Cuban food from Frida Batidos during cocktail hour and dinner, and the upstairs turned into a packed dance floor that only cleared when the sunset over the valley pulled everyone outside.
And that sunset? Absolutely worth it.
Doug and Allise, congratulations. I am truly so excited to see what your future brings!
