Jim and Kelly.
Their story started a few years back when Kelly was Jim’s boss for a short time. Rumor has it that she noted to one of her best friends that there was a cute guy at work, and I am confident that Jim was completely enamored with Kelly the minute he met her.
Why? Well, if you have met Jim or Kelly, you know. I met these two when I shot their engagement photos in a lovely area near Kelly’s childhood home (sure, you should go peek at the photos here). And our time went by so quickly that I found myself not wanting to leave. Genuinely fantastic, caring people that couldn’t get enough of looking into each other eyes? Um, yes please. And I had to wait months….MONTHS.….until I got to photograph them again.
The day arrived. It was a gloriously warm late summer day. Jim and Kelly were married at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Rochester and celebrated with a ton of friends and family in Troy. We planned several hours in total throughout the day for creative portraits, and you can imagine that I was loving every minute of it. There were great details everywhere, but I couldn’t stop photographing every person in attendance. This is one big group of folks that love each other.
And I am happy to call Kelly and Jim my friends. When the night got late and it was time for me to leave, I didn’t have to be sad. We made parting plans for a double date night out to see Cosmic Groove again. By the way, if you are in the market for the most talented band I have ever heard, please don’t hesitate for one minute to look up Cosmic Groove here…they kept the dance floor packed and everyone singing along all night, and I am looking forward to hearing them again.
