Oh my goodness. Abbey and Joey are getting married this summer, and this Midtown Detroit engagement session already felt like the season had arrived. We met up in the city and spent the evening walking through Detroit, stopping wherever things felt calm and natural.
We started at Capitol Park with their sweet pup, Zsa Zsa. After that, we found some quieter spots around the city and took our time. No rush. Just talking, walking, and letting the moments happen. I truly enjoyed getting to know these two and watching how comfortable they are together.
One of my favorite parts of the session was photographing near the Hotel Saint Regis Detroit. It is such a beautiful Midtown landmark. Classic, elegant, and full of character. It felt like the perfect setting for Abbey and Joey and added something really special to their photos.
They have a sparkle, a joy, and a genuine gratitude for each other that comes through so clearly. If this session is any glimpse into what is ahead, their summer wedding is going to be something really special.
