Josiah and Abigail’s Birchwood Meadow Wedding

April 7, 2026

Abigail and Josiah’s wedding at Birchwood Meadow was one that Maria and I were looking forward to all winter. Having everything in one location made the day feel easy to follow and gave it a natural rhythm. They each got ready on site, surrounded by their closest people. Before the day really began with the ceremony, both Abigail and Josiah spent time in prayer with their bridal parties.

Abigail’s first look with her dad was one of the more emotional parts of the day. No buildup, just an honest reaction between the two of them.

Their ceremony reflected that same tone. Josiah’s father officiated the service. It was meaningful without feeling overdone. A worship set was part of the ceremony, and it felt like a continuation of everything that had already been building, not a shift.

We stepped outside for a short window of portraits after the ceremony. Nothing drawn out, just a few minutes to step away before heading back in.

Dinner featured Middle Eastern food, which brought a different kind of energy into the room. It felt shared and relaxed, and people settled in quickly.

Once the dancing started, it didn’t really stop. Partway through the night, Abigail surprised everyone with a haircut after their first dances, followed by a dress change that shifted the pace of the evening in a fun way.

They ended the night with a true grand exit—everyone gathered in, fully part of it, sending them off with a lot of energy.
