It was a good day. I met Alexis and Ben a few years back when Ben’s sister got married. Right then, I could tell that that this day was going to come, and I was hoping to be a part of it. Alexis is originally from Buffalo, and Ben refers to her lovingly as his smokin’ hot Buffalo Babe…ALL OF THE TIME. I can imagine if their are little ones in the future, they are also gonna call Alexis that. :). Too soon? Ok, all kidding aside, here’s a quick reminder of their engagement session in Detroit (this link will take you there).
There were so many things about their ceremony and celebration that are unforgettable. Ben’s genuine excitement for everything. Alexis was stunning in a vintage style dress and the blush undertones were perfect for her ivory skin and baby blue eyes.
She carried her Aunt’s necklace, wore a second one, and had a piece of handkerchief sewn into her dress representing loved ones. Ben wore his grandfather’s tie clip and looked dapper from head to toe. Alexis’s laughing SO hard after the two cut the cake and my second photographer was in the right spot to catch the giggles. Ben and Mom’s first dance included blow-up guitars (you had to be there for that one) . Ben and Alexis tore up the dance floor for the rest of the night. It was a blast.
Congratulations, Ben and Alexis! I am so glad to call you friends!
