Joey and Elyssa–some of my very favorites. Ever.
It seems like ages ago that I got a call from Elyssa and we talked on the phone forever. Hours, maybe. She lives where my “back home” is, she is a bucket of fun, and cooler than those things, she is a triplet. It couldn’t have been better for me that this gal was getting married to her Prince Charming and needed someone to capture their day.
And I did. We had the most fun engagement session (yes, you could go check it out here), and since it was just a few months before the wedding, I didn’t have to wait long.
The couple and wedding party arrived at the Lapeer Country Club for portraits. We had planned for hours on the golf course, but the weather didn’t completely cooperate.
I am sort of ok with that. We were able to capture their first look under conditions that wouldn’t make anyone squint, and the lush grass of the golf course couldn’t have been better. These guys stuck out the rain and it was worth every wet jacket. 🙂
The evening ceremony was beautiful at St. John’s in Davison, and we had just a little time to get back to the country club and start the celebrations.
And the party was an absolute blast.
Joey and Elyssa, I am so very honored to have been there to witness and capture your wedding. Congratulations and God Bless!
