Hope and Joe’s wedding at the River Raisin Banquet Center was the kind that just felt like it fit them perfectly—laid-back but full of energy, hands-on but stress-free.
They started the morning at the River Raisin Banquet Center in Monroe, Michigan, helping decorate the hall themselves. It’s not every couple that kicks off their wedding day by setting the vibe of the room—but that’s Hope and Joe. They were all in from the very beginning.
The ceremony took place right in the River Raisin Room, filled with friends and family. After saying “I do,” we captured family portraits inside before heading out with the wedding party into downtown Monroe. And get this—it was a warm, sunny Michigan day. In spring. Totally unexpected, and absolutely perfect.
While we were out taking photos, the staff flipped the ceremony space into a full reception setup. By the time portraits wrapped, the room had transformed again—tables set, lights dimmed, and a buzz of excitement as guests arrived.
The party picked up quickly. Hope and Joe greeted guests, shared dances, and the dance floor didn’t stay empty for long. It was the kind of celebration that you could feel in your chest—a joyful, packed, memorable kind of day.
