Joe and Christine’s Waldenwoods wedding took place in late summer. Early in the morning, their family met to partake in a traditional Vietnamese tea ceremony. I had to grab a few photos of the festivities; it was lovely to watch the couple pay homage to their Korean roots.
Both Joe and Christine got dressed in their second set of wedding clothes in opposite ends of the house. Christine wore her mom’s earrings that were passed down from her grandmother. Once she was dressed, we traveled to the grounds at Waldenwoods where they had their first look in front of the sunshine house. We took some beautiful portraits, but most of the images I adore are completely candid. They were just so happy to be getting married that day!
The ceremony displayed their deep faith as they committed their lives to each other with Christ at the center. Two friends from their wedding party sang “Be Thou my Vision.” They did an amazing job—it gave me chills! Christine and Joe incorporated the tradition of ceremonial bows to their family, and Joe finally got to kiss his stunning bride. The couple then greeted guests on the lawn, mingled, and took family portraits in between hugs.
We ended the evening with a full dance floor and snagged a few killer night shots. I couldn’t imagine a more delightful day.
Congratulations, Christine & Joe!
