Leif and Julia planned an elegant fall wedding at Julia’s parents’ church, followed by a reception at the Henry Ford Museum. Julia slipped into her stunning gown at the Museum, where the couple had their first look. The entire wedding party leisurely explored the museum taking photos before making their way to the late afternoon ceremony. While I’ve always adored the groom’s reaction upon seeing his bride, Julia and Leif’s wedding held an extraordinary moment. As Julia’s parents entered the scene, their faces lit up with sheer brilliance. In that instant, the setting faded away—the fluorescent lights of the church conference room didn’t even matter. It served as a powerful reminder that wedding days are filled to the brim with moments where people unabashedly wear their hearts on their sleeves. And we have the privilege and capturing
these treasures.
