Tarik and Becca’s wedding day was in the making for several years. They made sure that the details that would showcase who they are were throughout the day. Becca had fabric from her Nonna’ shirt, a charm from her other grandmother, and earrings from Tarik’s grandma. The pillow that the ringbearer carried was made from mom’s wedding dress. Becca’s uncle was ordained just to be able to marry the couple. And, oh so sweet, Tarik’s sister made the entire dessert table (in fairness, that’s her profession, and she is REALLY good at it). Family heirlooms and special small things that are woven throughout a wedding day speak volumes about a family and their love for each other.
The two decided that they would have a first look Downtown Detroit followed by creative portraits. And oh my goodness, the smiles!! But just see for yourself. Becca and Tarik greeted guests at Silver Shores in Wyandotte, and the celebration was delightful. Leaving a good party is always one of the hardest things for me to do! Good thing I get to go home and start looking through all of the gorgeous photos.
Congratulations, Tarik & Becca!
