The day began at the Henry Hotel. It was one of the most relaxed mornings. Katelyn peered from her hotel window and considered the rain. For a minute, I thought that she might have been disappointed. But then she smiled. That perfect nervous smile of a bride about to see her groom for the first time. She really didn’t care about the rain. She was marrying Dave.
They did their first look at the hotel. Right in the hallway. I think the tears flowed from everyone that happened to see what was happening. Dave’s reaction was everything! After, we jumped in a Model T and headed to the village for portraits. As a Greenfield addict, I can’t get enough of the entire place….rain or shine. But we had just enough of a break to get some killer portraits before heading into the ceremony. The couple then greeted family and friends in the classically stunning Lovett Hall. The entire day suited them. It was lovely and elegant yet completely relaxed at the same time.
To Dave + Kate, I just love you. There are so many ways that your day was something no one will forget. Words can’t describe the hundreds of loving looks that Dave gave Kate all day long. We surely can’t know how many memories were running through mom’s mind as she watched her baby girl dance with her new husband.
I can’t wait to see what your future holds–I can almost promise it will be abundantly joyful!
