Engagements

Leah & Jason

July 6, 2020

Winter.  Sometimes, I worry that the winter is going to be too harsh for all of the engagement sessions I have planned.  And, then all the days start getting crossed off of the calendar and these beautiful shoots happen, and they are so good.

Leah and Jason’s shoot was planned for the winter too, and it’s one of those that I obsessed about being perfect.  Admittedly, I do this for every session.  I wanted their session to reflect them. To show Jason and Leah–and how much fun and silly and romantic and all of the things. I wanted these photos to be on their walls and their phone wallpaper and framed on their parent’s mantels.  The kind of photos that even just a passing glance made it apparent how just right they are together.

We took some portraits in Downtown Dexter and then headed to find the perfect spot of pine trees. We found the sun sinking low in the winter sky, and we made the best photos.

I am biased though:)

And I can’t wait for their wedding day!
