What matters. Sometimes, we struggle not letting the little things get in the way of what really matters.
But Shelby and Dan get it. They planned a wedding close to home on a lovely Friday evening. Of course, we prayed for good weather so we could hit one of my favorite little spots on Grosse Ile (yes, you should visit Westcroft Gardens as soon as it gets warm), but I knew that no matter what the day turned out like, I would get to witness two people doing that thing…that thing I love to photograph. I knew their would be lots of tears as they met at the altar on their wedding day….but mostly, I couldn’t wait to witness the sheer excitement between Dan and Shelby. And yes, it was worth the wait.
Nothing is better to me than watching two people that will celebrate 50 years or more together start their journey. Wait, there is one thing better. I get to bring my camera and make memories.
Shelby & Dan, may you have many years to enjoy each other. I am cheering for ya!
