Sarah and Tom have a deep connection to the city and to Belle Isle. When we spoke, Sarah told me that they grew up in families that did a lot of the same things together around the same events. They have so much in common! In fact, both of them initially went to school to be teachers. So when they met, they knew. And I would imagine it was almost immediately. Planning their engagement session was simple–we knew we had to get to Belle Isle and photograph them on the island–and the fountain was non-negotiable–since that’s where Tom proposed.
