Anthony + Caroline | Arnaldos Banquet Center | Riverview, Michigan

December 18, 2017

This fall was full of rich autumn colors, sunny days, and lots of the good stuff. LOVE was definitely in the air on Caroline and Anthony’s wedding day. It had been a while coming.  The two had met as freshman English class at Gabriel Richard High school, and after I asked, Caroline wrote me just a little snippet of their story.

Anthony and I became the very best of friends in a few short months. He told me he was in love with me before the school year even ended, to which I responded with “sorry”. He was my closest, most important friend and I did not want to ruin it! He insisted that I give him a chance for months, and told me he could not be “just my friend” anymore. He promised that if I just gave it a shot, I would not be sorry, that it would last and we would be happy. This is one of many promises he has kept to me the past 7 years, including that he was going to marry me one day. I pretty much knew that when he told me he couldn’t be “just my friend” anymore and I could not eat, that I was only fooling myself! Even my mom would repeatedly tell me, ‘Caroline it seems like you love this boy’. Mom was right as always.

It was wonderful to document this celebration. To Anthony and his sweet Caroline, may God Bless you and let you laugh for the next 50 years as much as you did this past year.  Caroline and Anthony’s wedding day was just full of incredibly huge smiles and so many happy tears. From mom’s eyes overflowing while getting her baby girl ready to dad seeing his little girl about to be married.  It was all too much even for me.  But I am not ashamed to admit that I can get a few tears.  Their day started like many–getting ready at Caroline’s favorite salon followed by a pre-wedding gift exchange.  Lots of beautiful tradition, a priest that just made you feel like the ceremony was a giant hug, and a party that if I didn’t know better, could have gone on until three in the morning at Arnaldo’s.  It’s a good party when pretty early on the bride and her father dance to “Sweet Caroline” and the entire room gets up and sings with dad.
