You would never guess that Michael and Rachel were just friends for the longest time….and that they just chatted over skype while Michael was playing hockey in Minnesota. He asked her out….oh, like a million times according to Rachel, but she thought he was joking…every one of those times. Well, I guess once she thought he was serious and agreed. They were together ever since and great together (just go take a look at their engagement session here.)
They planned an outdoor wedding at Waldenwoods overlooking the water. It was a warm July day and the sun make all of the grounds especially reminiscent of Michigan childhoods. There were sweet gifts and tears to go along with them, and the smell of warm summer wafting through the trees. And we had even had a first look with Archie. It was all of the things that you could want in an outdoor wedding. We could have skipped the storm that brewed over the horizon during the ceremony and that rushed us all under the tents. It would have been a bit of a bummer, but the most stunning sunset that lit up the entire rest of the early evening made up for every bit of it.
Rachel and Michael, congratulations. You are both absolute gems.
