Spending the evening with Erik and Nicole in Ann Arbor for their engagement session honestly felt like hanging out with two old friends. This city means a lot to them, so it was the perfect spot to capture this part of their story.
We started downtown at The Earle Restaurant, one of their favorite places to grab a glass of wine and unwind together. Erik works in the wine industry and, not gonna lie—he’s got incredible taste. They sipped some wine, shared a few appetizers, and just enjoyed being together in a cozy corner of the city they love.
After that, we made our way over to the Arb to catch the sunset. The light was perfect, and so were the quiet little moments between them—walking through the trees, sharing a laugh, just being completely themselves. It all felt so natural and easy.
Erik and Nicole are total old souls—genuinely kind, thoughtful, and clearly crazy about each other. Their whimsical Ann Arbor engagement session was simple, meaningful, and so them.
They’re getting married next summer at the Book Tower in Detroit, and I already know it’s going to be something special.
