Tarik and Becca’s wedding day had been years in the making, and it truly felt like a day crafted just for them. They filled it with little things that showed exactly who they are. Becca carried fabric from her Nonna’s shirt, wore a charm from her other grandmother, and had earrings from Tarik’s grandma. Even the ring bearer’s pillow was made from her mom’s wedding dress. Becca’s uncle became ordained just to marry them, which was incredibly special. And Tarik’s sister, being the pro she is, created the most amazing dessert table. These family heirlooms and small, thoughtful touches woven throughout the day really say so much about their family and their love for each other.
They chose to have a first look downtown Detroit, followed by some creative photos. And those smiles! You just have to see them. Later, Becca and Tarik greeted their guests at Silver Shores in Wyandotte, and the party was just delightful. Leaving a good celebration is always tough for me. Good thing I get to go home and get lost in all the beautiful photos!
Congratulations, Tarik & Becca!
