The Toledo Zoo is one of those venues that always surprises you—and in the best way. It’s unique, relaxed, and full of charm. Danielle and David picked it for their winter wedding, and the whole day just fell into place.
They woke to mild winter weather and spent the morning in calm preparation: hair and makeup, good snacks, and easy laughter.
Their first look happened before the ceremony, just the two of them taking it all in for a moment. It was quiet, meaningful, and set the tone for everything that followed.
The ceremony took place inside the Aquarium, and the celebration moved to the Great Hall. Both spaces brought their own kind of magic.
Some of my favorite moments? A ten-minute hug between Danielle and her dad before the ceremony. Zoo animals dropping in for cocktail hour (yes, really). And the way Danielle and David kept exchanging these small, unspoken looks all night, you could tell how steady they are together.
We even carved out time on the dance floor for a group photo, which is always a highlight when the space allows.
This one had all the right pieces: joy, intention, and a whole lot of love in an unexpected place.
Congratulations, David and Danielle!
