Andrew and Allyson planned a wedding at The Inn at Michigan League. It wasn’t clear how they wanted to bring their dream to reality during the pandemic. In the end, they opted for an outdoor wedding. When their wedding date finally rolled around, we were thrilled with the most delightful fall weather. Every detail turned out to be perfect.
The two graduated high school together but didn’t really know each other during that time. Years later, Andrew and Allyson reconnected in Ann Arbor. Ann Arbor is where their love blossomed, which made the city an excellent choice for their wedding celebration.
It’s so hard to choose my favorite moments of their wedding day. I loved watching Allyson’s mother helping her get ready—she even tied her shoes! Thoughtful gifts were exchanged that showed how clearly their families loved and knew them. But it’s the little moments shared throughout the day that stood out the most to me. Instead of ceremonial cake cutting, they enjoyed their wedding cake at their table together. I loved that small and sweet detail. And all day long, I caught Andrew and Allyson lovingly staring at each other.
Their reception was absolutely stunning. The courtyard of the Inn was decorated with elegant long tables, twinkling lights, and breathtaking florals by Jen House Design. It felt as though we were attending a fancy garden party, but this garden party had a rocking dance floor hosted by the one and only Derek Hall.
Congratulations, Andrew & Allyson. We loved capturing your dreamy outdoor party!
