Some weddings feel extra special before the day even begins. Caitlyn and I go back a long way—we met while working weddings together, since her family owns an amazing planning and event company. So when she called and asked me to photograph her own wedding, I knew it would be a day to remember.
Caitlyn and Travis started the morning at Tandale Nature Barn, surrounded by their closest friends and family. The girls kicked off the day with mimosas, thoughtful gifts, and sweet first looks with parents. Travis had his own moments with his guys, getting ready for what would be a day full of meaning and celebration.
The couple chose not to see each other before the ceremony, but they did share something deeply personal: a prayer circle with their bridal party and loved ones. It was one of those moments where you could feel the weight and joy of what was about to happen.
The ceremony led into a cocktail hour that truly reflected who Caitlyn and Travis are. They’re huge dog lovers, so along with delicious food and drinks, guests were greeted by adoptable dogs from New Hope Pet Rescue. Yes—you read that right. Guests enjoyed cocktails and puppy snuggles at the same time. It doesn’t get much sweeter than that.
As the sun set over the barn, portraits around the grounds captured the natural beauty of Tandale and the energy of the day. The evening kicked off with live music from the Crasherz Band, incredible food, and plenty of dancing. It was the perfect mix of heartfelt and high-energy—a true reflection of Caitlyn and Travis.
