Ste. Anne de Detroit Fall Wedding

April 3, 2020

Kyle and Katy’s wedding at Ste. Anne de Detroit was the perfect mix of history, beauty, and the crisp feel of fall in Detroit. With golden light streaming through the church’s towering arches and the leaves just starting to turn, the setting couldn’t have been better for their big day.
Katy got ready at her parents’ home, surrounded by her closest friends, plenty of laughter, and a few celebratory sips of champagne. One of the most memorable moments was when her dad walked in and saw her in her dress for the first time. The room fell silent for just a second before emotions took over—happy tears, big smiles, and the kind of moment you don’t forget.

The ceremony at Ste. Anne de Detroit was nothing short of breathtaking. The church’s vaulted ceilings, colorful stained glass, and intricate stonework made for a dramatic and meaningful setting as Katy walked down the aisle. Sunlight filtered through the windows, giving everything a warm, golden glow. The way Kyle looked at her said everything—this was the moment they’d been waiting for.

After the ceremony, we took full advantage of Ste. Anne de Detroit’s stunning architecture for portraits. Then, we made a quick stop at the Detroit Public Library, where the classic architecture and a light snowfall created the perfect backdrop for some timeless, elegant shots. Every photo captured the happiness and excitement of the day.

The reception at Fox Hills was a night to remember. Between the heartfelt toasts, nonstop dancing, and the energy of their family and friends, the celebration was everything they had hoped for.

A fall wedding at Ste. Anne de Detroit is something special. The combination of history, architecture, and atmosphere makes it one of Detroit’s most beautiful wedding venues. Kyle and Katy’s wedding was a perfect example of how incredible this space can be, and capturing their day was an absolute privilege.
