Mark and Laura’s November Masonic Temple wedding was one of those days that felt straight out of a movie. They both got ready inside the historic Detroit Masonic Temple, and before the ceremony, we headed out for portraits. November in Michigan can surprise you, and while Laura wasn’t sure she wanted snow, it showed up anyway—and it was gorgeous.
Their ceremony took place in the Masonic’s chapel, where Laura wore a crown that has been in her family for nearly 70 years. It was worn by her grandmother and great-aunts on their wedding days, and seeing it passed down made the moment even more special. The ceremony was officiated by Laura’s brother, and the two shared handwritten vows that had everyone tearing up.
Afterward, the celebration moved to the grand ballroom of the Masonic. From the flowers by Distinctive Design by Trish to the cake from Cakes by Stephanie, every detail was thoughtful and personal. Laura wore a Martina Liana gown from Essense of Australia, and her bridesmaids looked amazing in dresses from Revelry. Mark and his guys were suited up from Milano Fine Men’s Fashion in Plymouth.
The reception had everything you’d want—live energy from Lufru Entertainment, a packed dance floor, and laughter filling the ballroom late into the night. Videography by Cadence Music & Entertainment captured it all so they can relive the day for years to come.
It was a wedding filled with family traditions, Detroit history, and so many real, emotional moments—a perfect November Masonic Temple wedding.
