Caitlin and Matt’s Detroit engagement session was nothing short of a blast. We kicked things off at Detroit Beer Company, a place that holds special meaning for them as it was where they had their first date. When Caitlin reached out and mentioned their love for DBC, I knew this was going to be a good time. In fact, my husband and I are regulars, so I couldn’t have been more excited to start the session in such a familiar spot. A cold beer in hand? Perfect way to kick off an engagement session!
Of course, Michigan weather had a little surprise for us. Just as we were getting ready to head out, the rain started coming down in buckets. But no worries—we waited it out, and the weather gave way to some of the most beautiful light you could imagine as we made our way to Midtown Detroit. The result? Gorgeous photos of Caitlin and Matt walking hand in hand, completely immersed in their moment together. It was clear they didn’t even notice I was there—they were simply lost in each other.
One of my favorite parts of the session was how natural and carefree they were, just enjoying each other’s company. Their love was so easy to capture, and I couldn’t be happier with how the photos turned out.
