Hannah + Ben: Long Distance Love, Michigan Engagement

June 11, 2020

Hannah and Ben’s story reminds me a lot of my own journey before getting married. That feeling of living apart, just counting down the days until you can finally be together. Hannah teaches in metro Detroit, and Ben took a church position out of state. So, they’ve been planning their wedding from a distance, eagerly awaiting the moment they’ll share the same address.

I was really glad Ben could get back to town before the snow settled in. We started their engagement session at Greenmead, finding some of that classic Christmas green, then headed to Kensington to capture the last of the autumn leaves. Seeing them together, you could just feel their excitement for the wedding day – mostly because it means their long-distance chapter will finally close.
