Ashley and Hunter have been visiting Silver Lake Sand Dunes for years and so the choice to host their wedding and reception at the new Heritage Wedding Barns in Shelby, Michigan made complete sense. Their lives and childhood memories are so deeply embedded here that after we grab a few quick photos near the lake, we stopped at Grandpa’s house to take a photo in front of his place. Needless to say, the two had strong ties to this area, and Lake Michigan in all of its glory sure lived up to its name.
The two wanted their family and friends to celebrate with them….REALLY CELEBRATE…with them. They planned everything so that guests would arrive and enjoy the goodness of the area and they could kick back, grab a drink, and just let loose. And I don’t think that any part of the day didn’t live up to the vision that they had. They exchanged beautiful gifts and said their vows under beautiful trees. We all enjoyed the scenery of Heritage Wedding Barns, and the breeze made the warm summer air perfect. This party will definitely go down on the books for one that I didn’t want to end.
It’s been a few months, and I already want to go back.
