Kaitlyn and Jake planned a January wedding in snowy Ohio—until 2020 changed everything.
Instead, they chose sunshine over snow and flew to Orlando for a small, relaxed ceremony. I said yes without hesitation. We stayed at the Crowne Plaza, and the wedding morning was calm and simple—hair and makeup done by the girls, local flowers, and no rush.
They got married at Harry P. Leu Gardens, surrounded by Spanish moss and winter sun. They read handwritten letters before the ceremony, and their college pastor flew in to officiate.
Dinner was at Margaritaville. There wasn’t supposed to be a first dance, but a live musician played something soft—and they danced anyway.
It wasn’t what they originally planned, but it turned out better than anyone expected.
Congratulations, Jake and Katlyn.
You know, I am always up for an anniversary session 😉
