Senior sessions are not something that happen often, but when they do, they are always a lot of fun. While this work is not focused on being a Detroit senior photographer, the right moment always deserves thoughtful and beautiful images.
It is especially meaningful when a session comes full circle. Sophia was first in front of the camera at just five years old, so when her mom reached out to say she was getting ready to graduate and wanted her senior photos taken we headed to one of Detroit’s metropark to make genuinely special. Being asked to document that milestone was a true privilege.
Senior photos hold so much emotion. There is excitement, a little anxiety, and so much anticipation for what comes next, while also holding on to this season of youth. This time deserves to be photographed in a way that feels natural and true, and Sophia’s senior photography session captured all of that beautifully.
