What a day! Joe and Elizabeth’s wedding was an absolute delight to capture. Our engagement session at the Henry Ford Estate had given me a sneak peek at how sweet and fun these two were, so I knew their wedding day would be something special. Set in the breathtaking Sweetest Heart of Mary Church and with a reception at the Dearborn Country Club, this wedding day had it all. From the moment I walked into Elizabeth’s getting-ready suite at the Westin Book Cadillac Detroit, I knew this day was going to be one to remember.
Elizabeth spent her morning surrounded by the most important women in her life, and the energy in the room was infectious. The bride was relaxed, happy, and thrilled to be marrying Joe. Meanwhile, Joe prepared for the day with his groomsmen by his side. The couple’s exchange of gifts before the ceremony was a lovely, personal touch that set the tone for the day.
The full mass ceremony at Sweetest Heart of Mary Church was a traditional affair, and the beauty of the church was only matched by the elegance of Elizabeth’s dress. Oh, the dress! Simply stunning. Seeing Joe’s reaction when Elizabeth walked down the aisle was one of my favorite moments—priceless!
After the ceremony, we had a whirlwind photo session. Family portraits at the church, then a quick stop at the Detroit Institute of Arts for more stunning shots with just the newlyweds. And finally, we were off to the Dearborn Country Club to kick off the reception festivities.
The introductions at Dearborn Country Club were the perfect kickoff for the evening. Dinner followed by some incredible speeches. Watching Joe and Elizabeth soak up every moment with their loved ones was the highlight of the day. They weren’t just dancing; they were throwing down on the dance floor!
The day was already beautiful, capped off with the perfect send-off for the newlyweds as their friends and family cheered them on. From my arrival at the hotel to the final goodbye, it was clear that Joe and Elizabeth made the most of every second of their special celebration. Their guests had the time of their lives, with the party and dance floor creating unforgettable memories for everyone.
