Josh and Rachel’s Peacock Road Family Farm wedding was the kind of day you hope for when two people who truly love life—and each other—say “I do.”
From the beginning, they wanted a wedding that felt like home. Relaxed, joyful, outdoors, and full of laughter. And that’s exactly what they created. Set at Peacock Road Family Farm near Lansing, this spring celebration was the perfect mix of rustic charm, heartfelt moments, and pure fun.
Josh and Rachel love spending time together outdoors, especially when there’s fishing involved. So it’s no surprise that their wedding day included all the elements that bring them joy: nature, connection, and a good dose of silliness. Whether it was the giggles during their first look, the hugs from family, or their unforgettable dance in the rain—it all reflected their love story perfectly.
And the venue? Incredible. Peacock Road Family Farm is one of the most unique and welcoming wedding venues in the Lansing area. Where else can you get dinner served by Farmer Ed himself? Every detail—from the cozy barn setting to the warm-hearted staff—added to the charm of the day.
This wasn’t just a wedding. It was a celebration of who they are and what matters most to them: laughter, love, family, and shared adventure.
To Josh and Rachel: thank you for letting me witness your beginning. I have no doubt the smiles will only grow bigger as the years go by.

Who isn’t a sucker for a first look with dad right before the ceremony? It was the perfect few moments right before the ceremony.
From the ceremony site, we headed back to the Event Barn. It was a warm May day (and really, it isn’t often that we say that in Michigan), but entire team on the farm made sure that every guest was comfortable and happy. It was just a great way to celebrate.
We even got a very late summer storm, but man, I can’t complain. When the sky gives me the most lovely clouds that split up just enough for a short but perfect sunset, I don’t mind the rain.
