As we count down to another exciting year, I had the absolute joy of kicking things off with Mia and Raymond who are getting ready for their summer wedding at the iconic Gem Theatre in Detroit. To celebrate their upcoming “I do,” we planned something extra special—a cozy and colorful New Year’s-themed engagement session right here in the heart of the city.
We started indoors with all the festive vibes: glittering disco balls, a storm of confetti, and, of course, slices of Detroit’s finest—Mootz pizza (if you know, you know). It was pure fun from the start! The energy in the studio was infectious, full of laughter, dancing, and that unmistakable excitement that the New Year always seems to bring. Then came the outfit switch—and just like that, it was go time for some outdoor portraits. We hit the streets of Downtown Detroit, where the city was showing off in the best way.
