It’s easy to get lost in a good story, and Jared and Megan’s journey feels a bit like one. They were just friends for the longest time, even chatting across the country while Michael played hockey. Rachel thought he was joking about asking her out – a million times, she says! But eventually, she said yes, and they’ve been together ever since.
Their wedding day, planned carefully around their busy careers, was pure happiness. They were apart for the first few months of marriage while Megan finished school, a true test of that idea: “Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass. It’s about learning how to dance in the rain.” And they certainly danced. The good news? Megan matched in San Diego, so they’re finally in the same state!
The wedding day itself was vibrant. Megan’s dress was stunning, and the entire wedding party was a blast, breaking into spontaneous dances. Echo, the ring bearer, absolutely nailed his job. They beautifully blended Christian and Jewish traditions, from a unity plant with soil from their parents’ homes to the breaking of the glass. Toasts were heartfelt, first dances were magical, and the party? It was so good we quickly snuck away for night photos just to get back to that dance floor.
Megan and Jared, I am honored to have captured your wedding day. Congratulations!
