Travis and Candice’s Packard Proving Grounds Wedding

June 28, 2021

Candice and Travis had a vision.  And that vision included some incredible greenery, a cake made of CHEESE, family, and friends enjoying themselves at a grand event, and just a whole lot of cheer.  Even though their original plan was shifted to the Packard Proving Grounds Historic Site, they re-grouped just a few weeks before their wedding day and made sure that the whole day would be full of everything that really mattered–and they definitely accomplished that mission.

These photos speak volumes for themselves, but let me give you a few thoughts.   I think every single wedding should get to have at least one Zeffa.  Three would be better, but at least one would be fun.  The energy throughout the entire day was something that I couldn’t explain in words.  Candice looked incredible in her dress from Roma Sposa. But the fact that she wore her mom’s wedding headpiece is a testament to how much she values her family.  Of course, it was beautiful, and it was an honor to capture some images with their wedding photo in the background.  Travis might have been nervous–I didn’t get to hang out with him before the first look, but he sure didn’t look like it in any photos. He too made sure that his family and close friends were honored and well-loved and later that he surprised his bride with Trisha (the Michigan Wedding Painter) and Sonya, a breathtaking violinist.   We can talk about the first look too–just know that I think he circled Candice a few times admiring his bride….but as you can imagine, there was nothing that could wipe the grins off of their faces. The weather was perfect. They were getting married, and there was going to be a designer mound of cheese with their name on it upon arrival at the Packard Proving Grounds.

Congratulations, Travis and Candice!  Maybe your joy and smiles get more intense and bigger as you live life together. I am thrilled to call you friends.

P.S.  You nailed that first dance.  I can’t wait to see the video…just waiting until Aaron from Red Byrd shares his magic with the world!

Thanks to an excellent team that helped make their vision incredible!  It was an honor to be able to photograph your hard work!
