Matt and Amy

October 21, 2020

Matt and Amy were married in an intimate ceremony this summer. Some of my favorite parts of the day were understated, but the best.  Amy got ready in a quiet room.  Matt and his mom had their own moment before the ceremony (which I just was thrilled to be able to catch that as I was getting in place for the ceremony).  Amy painted her nails about 3 minutes before the ceremony (not pictured below…since I don’t have space to show everything…haha).  The two celebrated after the ceremony with a small group of family and friends in the lovely backyard of Matt’s parents. We had champagne and even their gorgeous pup, Nova,  was able to attend.  Amy slipped into a new dress–which was comfier for dinner in the grass–and bonus, I got to do a second set of portraits.  Amy’s parents gifted the new couple a wall hanging that made my jaw drop.  Since it’s fitting, let’s just enjoy this.

“This is my wish for you: Comfort on difficult days, smiles when sadness intrudes, rainbows to follow the clouds, laughter to kiss your lips, sunsets to warm your heart, hugs when spirits sag, beauty for your eyes to see, friendships to brighten your being, faith so that you can believe, confidence for when you doubt, courage to know yourself, patience to accept the truth, Love to complete your life.”
