Ben + Hannah

September 28, 2020

Ben and Hannah’s wedding day was lovely. It looked a little different maybe than what they had planned, but I had said it 100 times this year. The joy and happiness of these more intimate weddings have highlighted some of my favorite things about wedding days.  Pivoting kind of stinks, right?  But we get to experience just how much our friends and family love us–and we get to see first hand that as long as you get the marriage license and both show up, it’s going to be good.   And Ben and Hannah’s day was WAY better than good.

The little things are always some of my favorite things to mention.    Hannah gave her girls gifts that included their favorite candy.  The grounds at Addison Oaks -Buhl Estate are gorgeous–just perfect for days that threaten rain–no need to do anything but step outside for a few feet.  The inscription in Ben’s ring (he’s a pastor) and their prayer time before the ceremony set the tone of the day.  They didn’t have a first look, but they wanted to have some time alone to reflect and prepare for the commitment they would make. And of course, no one could forget Hannah’s gigantic, mega-gorgeous smile.

And boy, sometimes rain on a wedding day means a little working around the weather, but I won’t ever complain about rain shots in the dark.

Congratulations, Ben and Hannah!
