For a few years, I have been photographing the Wilkerson family. It’s just such an honor to have photographed their high school portraits and now I have the honor to photograph the family weddings.
For Kimberly and Logan, I had met them several years ago. Their young love and commitment were already evident and then years later, I had the opportunity to photograph their engagement session…and now the wedding at Cobblestone Farms. Some of my favorite parts of the day included the little moments before the ceremony. Everyone had all of the wedding nerves (I mean, I always do, since I am so excited but this was happy nerves for everyone). Kimberly’s hair and smile. I mean, who couldn’t, right? Oh my goodness, and the ring bearer. It was chilly, even for May in Michigan. Just a few minutes into photographing the wedding party, he was pretty much done. But, it couldn’t have been more adorable. The dance floor was packed after a killer meal from Slows BBQ–which is best, since the calories don’t count from Slows. And one of the sweetest things–a while back Kim had seen a Pinterest idea these giant wooden letters. She just loved them, and so Logan’s dad decided to make her day just a little more special–and so it was necessary to use them in a night shot.
