Unforgettable Intimate Wedding | Matt & Nicole

January 8, 2018

For Matt and Nicole, they had known for some time that THIS day would come.   Matt waited for just the right time to propose, and the wedding planning began. They dreamt of an intimate wedding, and they decided on a September day that couldn’t have been more lovely.   Friends of the couple hosted the outdoor ceremony and later evening celebration on their apple orchard. The countryside was the perfect setting for the entire day.  Fresh apples were waiting to be made into delicious hard cider. There was a cool breeze and just minutes before the midday ceremony….everyone was nervous.  I couldn’t love the atmosphere any more than I did.  Moments before the ceremony both Nicole and Matt had a special time with their parents and then they saw each other.  Unforgettable.

Shortly after the ceremony, we took a trip to downtown Saginaw…and downtown that Matt and Nicole both love.  I grew up just a few miles away, and so my heart skipped a beat when we planned to do portraits in such a nostalgic location.  I knew portraits would be ridiculously fun, since you know, we killed their engagement session (here).

And then dinner.  Close friends and family were waiting for Nicole and Matt when we arrived back at Eastman’s Antique Orchards, and The Maple Grille prepared a fresh, farm-to-table spread that delighted everyone.  Guests enjoyed some cake, played yard games, drank some incredible beer brewed by Nicole and Matt, and relaxed to the sound of Storybook while the sun sank below the skyline.  If you can’t tell, I love intimate weddings.  There is something magical in almost every interaction, and Matt and Nicoles

And just like that, these two started their marriage.  Coolness factor aside (cause, we all know these cats aren’t just pretty, they are cool), you two are truly wonderful people, and a pleasure to call friends.  Congratulations and God’s Blessings!
