Jack and Nicole met right when they were supposed to, and once you get to know them, you know they were probably born destined to meet. Too cute, too sweet, and lots of lovely dimples. So, as you guessed, they began planning their wedding. I imagine they were a little torn. Should they have a quiet, intimate wedding surrounded by just a few souls OR a big ole party with music and tacos? K, since they are my kind of people, they just did both of those things.
We started out the day at their home and Nicole had her maids there to get her ready. It might have been one of the most comically real moments I have shot getting ready–just mom in the room and a glass of white wine to get the day going. It could be one of my favorite photos of a mom getting her daughter ready–don’t miss it as you scroll down…:)
We headed to the Grosse Ile Yacht club and enjoyed a beautiful outdoor ceremony. It was absolutely the perfect late summer wedding. We even had the most lovely sunset. The next day Jack and Nichole greeted a big group of family and friends to have a little less formal gathering at the Pilot House. Lots of food, dancing and good times overall.
Congratulations to Jack and Nicole–may you have a long, wonderful marriage!
