Oh my gosh, you guys! You might remember Kelly and Michael from the cutest ice skating engagement session this winter. It was so cold, barely 20 degrees but it felt like it should have been in the negative digits. Well, they’re back in front of my camera for their spring mini session and they have the cutest stories to share.
How They Met & The Proposal
Every year, Michael and Kelly love to go up to Manistee, Michigan to enjoy the Fourth of July with Kelly’s family. On July 1st, 2016, Michael suggested that just the two of them go to dinner before all the festivities began. After dinner, he wanted to walk the pier to the lighthouse so they could catch the sunset. When they got to the lighthouse, Michael pulled Kelly aside. As they both looked out at the lake, he said: “This is perfect.” “Sure is,” Kelly said not knowing what was coming next. As she turned around to face him, Michael got down on one knee and asked “Kelly would you marry me?” She definitely said yes!
And here we are today! Their winter engagement pictures turned out beautiful but I wanted to give them images that reflected the warmth and loveliness of spring. Just look at Kelly’s glow in her pretty pink dress, she absolutely shines and that’s not something you get in 20-degree winter weather.
We went to one of my favorite little place in the heart of Detroit city, Eastern Market. The spot is home to fresh food, restaurants, businesses, art and culture – making it the perfect place for spring engagement pictures. Again, Kelly and Michael did not disappoint.
I can’t wait for their wedding this July at Dearborn Inn! Congratulations love birds, you’re going to make a beautiful bride and groom.
