June 4th was a good day.
Ben and Kristen were married at Old St. Mary’s in Detroit and the ceremony was performed by Ben’s uncle. Father reminded all of us in attendance of their story–you know the high school sweethearts that people knew this someday–their wedding day–would come.
The two ventured on through college and finished their degrees from MSU and June 4th was finally here. Their parents joyfully (with just a few beautiful tears) were thrilled to celebrate the marriage.
Ben and Kristen’s family had planned for almost a year and a half to have all of their friends and family celebrate after the ceremony at one of the most elegant locations in the Motor City. Ben got to show off his beautiful new wife at Colony Club which lived up to its reputation. The Dan Rafferty band kept the wedding party and the rest of the room on their feet until the night ended. I told you, it was a good day.
Ben and Kristen, you are both incredible souls that clearly are designed for each other. May you enjoy your life together with as much joy as you did on your wedding day.
