Engagements

Nicole & Josh | Downtown Monroe

June 27, 2014

I have been waiting months to show off some of these images.

When I first started chatting with Nicole about their engagement session, she knew that she wanted to use some beautiful snow shots for her “save the date” cards. It was nearly the end of winter, and while we had a LOT of winter this year, I knew that the crisp, white snow was about to be gone. So, we met up for about 30 minutes after one of the last pretty snowfalls. And it was COLD.  You remember, the sort of cold that we all want to forget.  BUT, we had a snowball fight, some really chilly digits, and, most importantly, gorgeous images.  Right then, in the car when we were warming up, ideas for their spring session started whirling in my head.

Nicole and Josh have such a magnetic relationship that I didn’t want to wait long to schedule their spring session.  I was hoping for warm weather in March.  I guess it didn’t matter what I wanted.  We tried to plan the second part three different times…and the weather just wouldn’t cooperate.  Until THIS day. And the day was perfect.

Without these photos, I couldn’t even begin to explain how Josh lights up when he is in Nicole’s company.  There are no words that could show you the way that Nicole looks at Josh.  Just these.  And I didn’t want this warm-weather session to end.

So, enjoy some of these photos of Nicole and Josh.  These are just a highlight of some of our favorites, but you can see how they are together.   Their love story is just beginning.  They are dog lovers (and yes, he proposed with dog tags….LOVE), music lovers, and Jesus lovers.  And next year, they will vow to spend the rest of their lives cherishing each other.

And I know that their June wedding will be truly a joy to photograph.  I will be patient since I don’t have a choice.  🙂
